Mail servers

OpenBSD uses sendmail by default. With the addition of a few packages you can access your mail using POP3, IMAP, or via your web browser.

• IMP provides web access to IMAP/POP3

Spam & virus filtering

Unwanted email can be a large hidden cost for business, and just plain annoying for everyone.

I can install, configure & support the following:

• Sendmail mail server
• BMF baysian mail filter
• SpamAsasssin rules-based spam filtering
• Vipuls Razor distributed, collaborative spam filtering

This can be used to protect your existing mail server, or replace it completely.

Mailing list managers

Mailing lists can be a good way to keep in contact with your existing customers.

I can install, configure & support the following:

• mailman mailing list manager with spam filtering and web-based archiving
• majordomo

Note: if you are interested in emailing complete strangers, please give me your details so I can laugh at you when your business fails. I regard spamming as the online equivalent of standing on the street corner spitting in peoples faces, then trying to sell them something when they turn around to complain.

Instant messaging

Instant messaging can be a rapid way to keep in contact.

I can install, configure & support the following:

• Gaim AIM, ICQ, IRC, Jabber, MSN, Yahoo, and Zephyr client

Note: If your business needs it, I can also configure your firewall to block transmission of various IMs.
